Dr. Rainer Kiefer joined DB SCHENKER in 2016 as EVP Contract Logistics and Supply Chain Development. His responsibilities comprised business development, solution design, innovation, marketing, contract management, global operations for top accounts, and CL strategy.

Before joining DB SCHENKER, Rainer was CEO of CYBERPORT, a German E-Commerce player, with some 700 Mio in revenue and 700 employees. CYBERPORT is part of BURDA, a German Media and E-Commerce conglomerate. Prior to his CEO role, he held various MD and board roles within BURDA’s E-Commerce arm. He started his career at McKinsey where he focused on logistics and retail as a junior partner.

Rainer studied economics and statistics in London, Munich and Florence.

Piotr Rytel

Piotr Rytel is SVP Global Head of Contract Logistics Customer Management and Solutions & Engineering for DB Schenker.

Piotr joined DB Schenker in 2007 after gaining valuable experience in supply chain consulting. Over the years, he has held several leadership positions, including roles in Solution Design and Innovation, Commercial Management, Business Planning and Performance Management. In his current capacity, Piotr oversees the comprehensive management of strategic accounts within Contract Logistics, ensuring consistency in execution across the customer network. His responsibilities also encompass product development, innovation & engineering, as well as network design and excellence in solution design. Piotr holds a diploma in Economics and Industrial Engineering from the Technical University in Dresden.
